Using

Build NK.bin

From the tiny_kernel DEBUG build window run:

blddemo clean -q

This is the error I get:

BUILD: [Thrd:Sequence:Type ] Message
BUILD: [01:0000000430:ERRORE] C:\WINCE600\PLATFORM\TI_EVM_3530\SRC\DRIVERS\PM\DLL\.\pmdisplay.cpp(28) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ',' before '*'

Does this look familiar at all to you?

I haven't, but I just checked the schematics between C2 and B7. You should be able to get kernel up and running using my walk through. DVI/SD/Flash/Triton are identical. The key difference is USB FS Host on B7. Neither will affect the config I posted.

Not sure about the WEBB BSP, but the TI EVM 35xx BSP is free, and of very high quality. The key consideration would be licensing.

I’ve created a new project on Codeplex soon to be published. It will document what is required to get the TI EVM BSP up and running on a BeagleBoard. I should have the project published by Wednesday.

I am currently stuck at getting EBOOTNAND.nb0 into RAM and executing it. You mentioned that your load address was wrong - could you please elaborate as to where you changed it (and what you changed it to)?

Now that you have the bootloader working, did you ever get it to boot NK.bin?

I hope that you have had some success and can share it with the community.

hi,

I am also using similar setup. MLO and EBootsd.nbo from TI.

nk.bin downloaded from this website is not booting. but TI bsp builds successfully. it boots up and i am able to see the shell in video connected via s-video.

Have you done anything after this? anything which you want to share?

Hi all,

I am using beagleboard Rev C3 and BSP from this community. I have ms vs2005 and winCE 6.0.

I am trying to boot nk.bin came along with the source code. Its not booting up.

I am using MLO and ebootsd.nbo from Texas, nk.bin file from beagle community.

1. Will it work? Do I need some changes? Please guide me this.

2. Can I make MLO and Ebootsd files from source code from this community?

3. I followed the step mentioned in this discussion chain, copying nk.bin from uboot and using go command to start. But it failed to start. Hangup!.

Please help me.

Hi,

I've started on the task of building a Windows CE 6.0 image for use on the Beagleboard. My first attempt (epic failure!) didn't work as magicially as I had planned.

I took the MLO and ebootsd.nb0 for the TI EVM3530 and booted the board using the minimal image someone built and posted at http://beagleboard.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=16959.

So, moving along, I installed the OMAP3530 BSP source from TI and proceed to build my own image only going as far as adding a display module and a few default parameters. The boot up was a bit more promising:

As you can see, it stays at --- High Performance Frequecy is 32768 khz--.

Anyone who has gone as far as building an image, can you give a hint as to what I have missing?
Bare in mind I have not edited any sysgen files, or added any additional code in the process of building my project in Visual Studio using the Platform Builder plugin.

hi All,

I am not able to load NK.bin.

- tried serial port platform builder.

If not serial port we have option to boot nk.bin from NAND also.but to which address we need to write NK.bin so that it can load in to RAM by boot from Flash option.

Kindly let me know as I am not moving ahead.

Hi Joelw,

I am able to load EBOOTNAND.nb0 into RAM and execute it.Actually my load address was not proper.

It is sending boot request via serial port.other side on pc i have started the microsoft visual studio 2005 and i am doing attach device via serial port but it not working ........it is saying "Waiting for BOOTME request........" but my beagle board is sending request via serial port .......see the logs....Any idea what is wrong???

Hi Joelw,

address in ebootnand.bib is 0xA1B50000 and length is 0x20000.so when i am trying other address it is able to copy but 0xA1B50000 is not able to copy.

I have tried using

mmcinit

fatload mmc 0 0xA1B50000 EBOOTNAND.nb0

but that is also not working so it means that 0xA1B50000 address is not valid.

So same thing i have tried for EBOOTRAM.nb0 as address was 0x87000000 for it.Now point is that it is able to copy it to 0x87000000 but when i am doing

go 87000000

it is saying ## Starting application at 0x87000000 .... and remains there any idea what could be the problem??

I am cluesless and very new to wince 6.0 so not able to go ahead with out this .....

How to get the build platform for omap 3530?Do i need to get it from TI?

becuase in my setup of wince 6.0 it includes only omap2420...am I missing something?

The bootloader requires some changes to load and run.

Get a build window working for the BSP first.

Are u able to build the bootloader for beagle board?are you running wince on beagle?

I am starting on it.I have downloded the beagle source code from this site.but from where you got to compile nk.bin(although the code is having one image)? I dont have 3530 platform on wince - microsoft 2005.i have only omap 2420 platform to be built on wince so image is built for omap2420.so how do we compile for 3530??any patch i need to install?

please help I am stuck here!!!!
